Privacy

This tool is a free, open-source hobby project run by a private individual (Arthur). There is no commercial use and no advertising. Below you can read in plain language what happens with your data.

What do we store?

The Smartschool link you paste.
Your settings: the classes, which are selected, the rollover date and the keywords.
Timestamps: when the settings were created, changed and last processed.
A hash (fingerprint) of the last generated calendar, to know whether anything changed.
The filtered calendar itself, as a file that your calendar app fetches.

Where?

The planner and your data are stored at Microsoft Azure in the Belgium region (Belgium Central). The website and the logs are in the West Europe region (the Netherlands).

For how long?

Until you delete it yourself. Calendars whose Smartschool link has not worked for more than 30 days may be removed automatically.

What do we not store?

No passwords and no accounts.
No analytics or tracking cookies. This website does not use cookies.
Pupil names in the “Extra deelnemers” field are removed from the description by default (you can switch this off under Advanced).

Important: your link is your secret

There is no login. Your Smartschool link is also your key: anyone who knows it can see your filtered calendar and change or delete your settings. Do not share the link, and do not share the calendar link with people who should not see it.

Deleting your data

Paste your Smartschool link in the planner and click ‘Delete settings’. Your settings and the filtered calendar are then erased. If that does not work, let us know on GitHub (see below). Never paste your Smartschool link there.
